September 28th

9:00am - 4:00pm | Historic Downtown Elkin

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 28th, as Historic Downtown Elkin transforms into a fall wonderland for the Annual Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Main Street will be bustling with live music, a variety of vendors, and autumnal delights. Explore everything from antiques and handcrafted gifts to pumpkin painting and delicious food like BBQ, funnel cakes, and pumpkin butter.

The highlight of the festival is the Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off, kicking off at 9:00 am at 257 Standard St. Watch in awe as growers from across the East Coast present their massive pumpkins and watermelons, some tipping the scales at over 1,000 pounds! While you’re there, check out the new Kid Zone, also located at 257 Standard St, featuring bounce houses, a petting zoo, and pony rides—perfect for the little ones.
